Fun with our Missionaries

We are blessed to have the elders over for dinner almost every week. We love the messages they share and knowing that we are helping in a small way to give them one less thing to worry about.

During dinner tonight I asked these gentlemen what they had sent home for Christmas to their families. They seemed a little quiet and didn't really say too much. It's expensive to send to Canada, don't ya know?

So a crazy idea came to mind, we would take pictures and make a
Christmas ornament to send back home. After letting them put on some festive sweaters, the camera started clicking away! Elder L'Esperance was totally into the modelling and seemed natural in front of the camera. Elder Murphy- not so much. We used a little picture printer, Popsicle sticks, and glue to make a fun homemade gift. We had a fun night together! Later that week I had a little more fun by adding some festive words borders and making them extra special! The elders totally loved it!

Holiday decorating with the Dattages

The kids enjoyed a fun night at our best friends house to decorate graham cracker gingerbread houses with all their kids. There was plenty of sugar to go around... And Ben and I were able to go out to dinner together. So grateful for good food, friends, and this wonderful time of year!
