Bear Lake Family Reunion

We had such a good time meeting up with our Hoopes family for a bear lake reunion. Brielle has been asking when we can go back to bear lake several times since since then!

All the Cousins had a really great time playing in the sand and also going on the kayaks and paddle boards. We even had Jet Ski‘s Ben rented. Our last day the wind really started picking up and most everyone started packing up to start heading home… even though we really wanted to play all day.

Cannon and Hazel were such good buddies playing and building in the sand all day!

All the Hoopes cousins performed in the talent show with cash money prizes on the line. Jack took first place with his magic show performance, Cael took second with a performance of his basement beats band song about Juliet, and Max took third with his drumming! There are some pretty talented kids (and fun things from the adults) —it was hard to pick a winner!

The theme of the family reunion was Christmas in July and we did a gift exchange with a color and a letter of the alphabet. It was pretty fun to see what people came up with to match both of their letter and color an item for their particular person- aunt, uncle, cousins, and grandma and grandpa. We all had some good laughs together!

A big gift mom had been working on was these pinwheel quilts!! She said she got really sick and tired of making some many “pinwheels” she started adding fabric to make more space. It had fabric from our grandma Mary and extra fabrics that mom had used on other projects as well.

Lagoon day

 We had such a great time at lagoon this year meeting up with cousins and friends and the Hoopes uncles. It was especially fun  this year for Cannon who was able to ride all of the more thrilling rollercoasters…. it was the first year in a long time that we were able to all stay together instead of splitting into big kids and little kid groups. Cannon really loved being at the lazy river at the water park day during the middle of the day in fact he was refusing to leave and he just went and I lost him for about 15 minutes I had no idea where he was he just was swimming in that river! It was hard to convince him that it was time to go because everyone else had left us, but when I finally did we had a great rest of the evening together hitting our favorite coasters! At first I was worried about crowds and waiting in long lines but the longest we waited was about 20 minutes for wicked- bens favorite.

Also- we sang happy birthday to Brecon!! 15 years old
