Recycle Run 5K

How about a month prior? I saw advertisement for a recycle run. A chance to win medals from previous race is held here on Schofield Barracks.. I decided to sign us all up and they gave us something to look forward to and I was actually excited about doing something. I hadn’t done before. My mom and dad had never been in a fun run before either so this was a good chance to win a medal and get a T-shirt. In fact, we got two medals!!

A funny thing happened. I just thought we would walk with grandma and grandpa but Connor and his friend Derek started running for the front of the pack and they were fast!! Then Ben and Brielle started jogging. There’s just something about a bunch of people trying to go fast and trying to keep up with them. I didn’t want to get left behind so I thought I would try to catch up to Ben and Brielle but those guys were way faster I didn’t catch them till the very end. Grandma was walking faster than grandpa and Cannon ended up almost taking last place. Bit a soldier got him to start sprinting right at the end!

It was a fun start the general conference weekend!
