Funny things are happening here...

*Brecon was trying to brush his teeth one night. I was in the other room and heard a "SPLOOSH" noise. He was wanting to get closer to the sink and stepped onto the closest "stool" which was actually the toilet with the lid up. His entire leg was soaked-- so of course I did what ever good parent would do... I grabbed the camera and captured this moment! We laughed and Brecon giggled about the silly thing that he did. I'm glad the toilet was only filled with water and not other surprises.

*Cael was helping me in the kitchen and so I decided to show him the quarter and flour game. We took turns cutting away at the flour until the quarter drops off. If it was your move that drops the quarter then you have to pick up the money with your teeth. It does not taste very good and you can get plenty of flour all over your face. Of course that was Cael's favorite part.

*These two are just so cute together. Brielle runs and hugs Cael when he gets home from school. As a big brother Cael is also so great to play and interact with his little sister. He is a favorite at home and in the backyard with the little neighborhood kids --(as long as he isn't teasing them, of course).

HIGHEST HONORS

I have been having Proud Mama Moments watching Cael practice the recorder and memorizing 9 different songs so that he could pass them off to his music teacher. Cael would leave early before morning gym so he could play his song for the music teacher. And he was the first one in his whole grade to do all of them. It was really neat watching Cael set his mind to this task, to do it well, and to be the first one in the school.
I know he was nervous when they asked him to play the Black Belt song on the morning news in front of everyone, but he did a great job! I'm so happy to see his hard work has paid off.
I loved when he would come home with a "new belt" (a colored piece of yarn) tied around his recorder to show he had passed off another song.
"Hey Mom, I got a new belt today!" First words out of his mouth after school.
