Snowshoe and ice competition

Friday- snowshoe excursion with Angela Jones at Eilson airfield- brunch and a winter wonderland. It was a beautiful snowy morning and so fun. I really thought the trail was just the right amount of up and down— but by the end my left knee was really screaming!! It must have been the awkward shuffle/stomp from the snow shoes … I’m so glad she invited me along :)

Monday - world ice carving championships multi block. This was the beginning of the World Ice Carving Championships... and it was military appreciation day so we were able to get in for free. There were all the fun slides and games to play and so we really took our time and walked all around. The only sad thing was that only the big ice sculptures had been done so there wasn't very many cool ice carvings to admire. Those would be happening later on in the month
