Our Saturday fun started as we all got ready for Cael's lacrosse game. When we got to the field we could not find his helmet so Ben and uncle Brandon drove back to the house to retrieve it. We waited on the lacrosse field in the hot sun for 1/2 hour and we were told that the game would be postponed for another hour. We decided to eat lunch and get an ice cream cone to help pass the time, and it was delicious!
When we came back to the field we heard whistles and cheers, later to find out that as soon as they had enough players they started the game. So while everyone was tired Cael came in fresh and full of ice cream. He had a great game, played hard, and it was almost like he was showing off for uncle Brandon and aunt Mandy and the Dattage family.
We tried to go swimming at Lake Frederick after the game, only to find out that the Boy Scouts had rented out the beach and we would not be able to swim or play on the sand. It was sad and the kids were upset as we drove away and went back home to relax and enjoy the afternoon back home.We had dinner and got ready to go to the Army band concert, deciding that riding our bikes would be a fun option. it was also the army birthday celebration.
